| Creating an Alternate Database in Intellisync* Mobile Desktop |
|
 |
|
|
Issue:
Intellisync Mobile Desktop (IMD) automatically opens a database location when you first start using the software.
By default, the file is saved to the database directory specified in the Preferences dialog which is:
Program Files/Rex6000/Pim/Data/Default
If you create a new database you will have to change the path to that directory in Intellisync For REX. For example, here is the path to a database folder named Personal.
Example: Program Files/Rex6000/Pim/Data/Personal
Resolution:
- Create the New Database:
- Run Intellisync Mobile Desktop (IMD).
- Click File and then New.
- Type in a name for the new database and click OK.
Redirect Intellisync for REX to the correct database:
- Open Intellisync for REX, and click Configure.
- In the Intellisync for REX window, under the REX6000 Applications section, highlight the item you would like to change, and press the Choose button.
- In the Choose Translator Window, make sure that Intellisync Mobile Desktop is highlighted, and then select Browse.
- In the Select Intellisync Mobile Desktop File window, browse to the Data folder (usually up one directory). You'll find a new folder with the same name as the new database you created in Step 1. Double-click this new folder to open it.
- Select the correct .DAT file. This file should correspond and will be mapped to the item chosen in step 2b.
