Intel® Processor Identification Utility
Dual Core Expected, But Not Reported

The Intel® Processor Identification Utility requires the “Max CPUID Value Limit” in the system BIOS to be disabled for proper processor identification. Once processor identification has taken place, the option can be re-enabled if desired.
To disable the “Max CPUID Value Limit” option, enter the BIOS setup screen while booting the system. For Intel® Desktop Boards, follow these steps:

  1. Press F2 while booting
  2. Select the "Advanced" tab
  3. Select "Boot Configuration" option
  4. Set "Max CPUID Value Limit:" to "Disabled"
For motherboards from other board manufacturers, contact the place of purchase, system manufacturer or system board manufacturer for additional assistance.
