Microsoft Windows* Can Not Detect Access Point

Symptom(s):
Wireless networks do not appear under available networks in Microsoft Windows* XP, and Windows* 2000 with the wireless patch applied.

Cause:
Some adapters require the Broadcast SSID function to be enabled for wireless networks to be detected.

Solution:

Enable the Broadcast SSID function in the access point.  This is found in the "RF parameter" section of the access point user interface on the 2011/2011B, and in the "WEP Settings 802.11a/b" pages on the 2000/5000 access points.

Windows* 2000, Windows* XP Professional, Windows* XP Home Edition
