Symptom(s): After applying changes to an Intel® PRO/Wireless LAN Access Point and restarting it, the web configuration page cannot be displayed or does not reflect changes made.
Solution: Check to make sure the IP address scheme of the NIC matches the IP address of the Access Point.
Check to make sure you have the correct IP address for the Access Point if you had set the "DHCP Enabled" setting. A reservation for the Access Point, based on MAC address, should have been made prior to changing the DHCP setting.
Ping the IP address of the Access Point. From a DOS command prompt, type PING xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx where xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx represents the IP address of the Access Point. If you can successfully Ping the Access Point there is a problem with your browser.
If you can view the configuration pages and they do not seem to have changed, clear your browser cache and re-enter the IP address for the Access Point. You can also set your browser to "check for new page each time a page is visited" to eliminate this issue in the future. Check your browser documentation on how this is accomplished.
Reset the Access Point to factory defaults and check where you might have gone wrong. If you are using a wireless card for configuration make sure you set the wireless card to the new settings. Under Windows* 98 SE, Windows* 98, and Windows* 95, you will need to restart your machine for the IP and wireless settings to take affect.
