MultiMail Errors on Handspring Visor* Using Xircom® SpringPort Wireless Module

Errors are Received from MultiMail When Trying to Send or Receive Email Using a Handspring Visor* and a SpringPort Module

Follow these steps to check the DNS information for the dial-up connection:
  1. Turn on the Visor and click the "MultiMail" icon.

  2. Click the "Menu" button, and then select "Options."

  3. Click "Network Panel," and then select the "Details."

  4. Verify the Query DNS is checked or unchecked according to your ISP.

    If your ISP requires a DNS entry, uncheck "Query DNS" and add the appropriate DNS address.

    If DNS is resolved automatically, check the "Query DNS" box.

  5. Click the "OK," and then "Done."

  6. Connect to your ISP, and retry getting your email.

Follow these instruction to check the incoming email server's name:

  1. Turn on the Visor and click the "MultiMail" icon.

  2. Click the "Menu" button, and then select "Options."

  3. Click "Mail Server," and then select the problem mailbox number.

  4. On the Server line, verify that the incoming email server's name is correct and make appropriate changes, if necessary.

  5. Click "OK," and retry getting your email.
